Topic: How to re-Calibrate the touch screens
Detail:
7 Inch Touch screens.
Reboot the Touch screen by unplugging it or you can hold down the 2 and 3 buttons.
Continue to hold down the 2 and 3 buttons as the Touch screen reboots.
It will go to a Message for the Network reset. and tell you to release the buttons.
Do not release the buttons.
It will then show a message that it is resuming currant network settings.
Release the buttons at this point.
The touch screen will continue to boot and then it will go to the Calibration screen with the crosshairs.
Follow the steps on the screen to calibrate the screen.
note: It is best to use a Stylist on the 7 inch Portable because it has a more sensitive screen.
Mini-Touch Screen
Reboot the Touch screen by unplugging it or you can hold down the Encoder Knob (scroll Dial).
Continue to hold the knob down as the Touch screen reboots.
It will go to a Message for the Network reset. and tell you to release the knob.
Do not release the knob.
It will then show a message that it is resuming currant network settings.
Release the knob at this point.
The touch screen will continue to boot and then it will go to the Calibration screen with the crosshairs.
Follow the steps on the screen to calibrate the screen.
10.5 Touch screen
This will also work on the other touch screens but this is the only way to re-calibrate the 10.5.
telnet into the Touch screen.
start>
run>
telnet (IP address of the touchscreen)
login: root
password: t0talc0ntr0l4!
>cd etc
>rm pointercal
>reboot.
The touch screen will reboot then will go to the Calibration screen with the crosshairs.
Follow the steps on the screen to calibrate the screen.
